The 2003 Donruss Team Heroes Timeline Threads series stands out as one of the most coveted relic sets of the early 2000s, and few cards in the checklist carry the same visual punch as the Jose Canseco 1989 game-worn jersey patch. Perhaps another word to describe this card is mysterious. Numbered out of /89, this card never shows up. It is legitimately a difficult card to capture. It is also, if memory serves, the last time that Donruss didn’t specify patch cards as prime vs. swatch (that came in the next release.) For this set, this card can literally be seen with a plain white swatch, or an incredible patch like the one shown here.
